All our outdoor garden furniture is waterproof and will withstand a heavy downpour, although we do recommend that you take in the cushions and the parasol in these conditions. The parasols will repel a light rain shower but they are not intended to be an umbrella to protect against prolonged rain. Most of the cushions are covered with Sunbrella a hard wearing fabric designed to shrug off a light shower, be UV stable and stain proof, for example against suntan lotion and red wine. If strong winds are forecast we do recommend that you secure the lighter aluminium and lightweight steel furniture. All our suppliers manufacture to the highest standards and use only the best materials available so you can buy with confidence, secure in the knowledge that your garden furniture will last for years. None of our garden furniture needs to be covered over the winter unless it is affected by falling leaves and bird droppings, don’t cover with plastic as condensation will build up and lead to moulds growing, always use a breathable dedicated Garden Furniture Covers. Cushions are made to shake off a little light rain but they will become sodden in a downpour so are best taken indoors, they will drain quickly but won’t be usable until fully dry. Just wash down with a mild solution or warm water and washing-up liquid to remove any dirt which may have accumulated over the winter. If you are treating the timber to retain it’s original colour this will have to be done every 2 - 3 years. Chips on the metal furniture can be covered with a car spray paint or a dab of nail varnish. Is the garden furniture completely waterproof?

Yes, all our garden furniture is safe to be left out in all weathers however it is recommended that you take the cushions in if heavy rain is forecast as they will take some time to dry out after a drenching.

What maintenance do I need to do keep the furniture waterproof?

There is no maintenance involved in keeping the garden furniture waterproof unless you wish to treat the timber to extend it's life span. This needs to be done every 2 - 3 years.

Is the garden furniture guaranteed?

Yes, all the garden furniture is guaranteed for at least 12 months, with many styles having an extra 12 months. This covers faulty workmanship and materials not damage caused by adverse weather conditions. If you do encounter problems just call the Customer Services team who will be happy to help.
