consideration for attracting wildlife into our outdoor spaces.

Where can I get some advice on how to plant bulbs?

Either come into store and talk to our gardening team or look in the 'Knowledge Centre' on our website.

When are the dry summer flowering bulbs available?

These are usually in the garden centre from the beginning of February until about the end of March. Summer flowering bulbs planted in pots are usually available in the outdoor plant area from June onwards.

When do I plant my dry spring flowering bulbs?

They can be planted from the end of September with the exception of tulips which should be planted in November.

When do I buy my dry spring flowering bulbs?

Spring flowering bulbs usually start to come into the garden centre about the end of August and are usually available until the end of September. Spring bulbs growing in pots are available in the outdoor plant area from the beginning of the year until about March.

When do I plant my dry summer flowering bulbs?
They can be planted when soil conditions allow, don't plant outdoors if the soil is sodden and cold. The best thing to do is plant them in old plastic pots then place in the greenhouse or a frost free porch. Once they are growing either replant into the chosen position or sink the whole pot then just lift when they have gone over and overwinter somewhere frost free.
